About Me

When I was a kid, I was drawn to technology, specifically computer software and the internet. I loved to play on interactive applications and connect with others through shared interests. Inspired by the stylish and informative fan-made websites dedicated to my favorite celebrities, I longed to be a part of the creative side of the web. In high school, I created my first webpage on Geocities, and in college, I learned the basics of HTML, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.

After a hiatus, I decided to revisit and update my web development pursuits both as a hobby and to use as a transferable skill in professional opportunities. This website was coded from scratch using HTML and CSS. My goal is to learn new programming languages and tools, and improve this site over time.

I've always approached web development as a puzzle, like translating layouts and designs into functional sites. My site-building has also extended to content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, where I've managed and customized pages. With over a decade of experience supporting students in their technological studies, I've found it rewarding guiding others through software platforms and helping to make the process less intimidating. My past experiences have also contributed to my current studies in the fundamentals of the online user experience, like web accessibility, to promote inclusivity on the internet. I'm also exploring the bridge between web development and digital marketing through search engine optimization (SEO) and content creation.
